* The Colorado Avalanche's leaders, Joe Sakic and Josh Kroenke, are saying that the team was built to try and win the big hockey championship, the Stanley Cup, for the next few years. They believe in the players and coaches they have.
* Even though the team lost in the playoffs last year, they are keeping their head coach, Jared Bednar, and his assistants. They think the team is good enough to try for the Cup again next year.
* The team is also working on building a new place to practice and is planning to spend a lot of money to keep their best players, like Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, to help them win championships.
